About Brandon Howard

Brandon is an entertainment writer covering Movies and Television for a variety of digital publications.

When he isn't working, Brandon loves reading and watching as many movies as he reasonably can on any given day.

Industry Focus

Brandon started writing for Screen Rant in 2024, and is currently a Senior Writer with the Superheroes team, focusing on Marvel and DC.

He is particularly excited to cover the DCU as it begins to unfold.

Favorite Media

There isn't much Brandon won't watch; any movie, in any genre, anywhere, and in any quality. Still, he particularly loves 90's-early 2000's J-Horror, character-driven slow burns, slice of life, and films set against neon-soaked cities at night.

Some of his favorite directors are: Wong Kar-wai, Hayao Miyazaki, Sofia Coppola, Ryan Coogler, Noami Kawase, Richard Linklater, Ryutaro Nakagawa, Satoshi Kon, Sion Sono, James Cameron, and Sam Raimi.
