Based on the released trailers and teasers, Link and Zelda's appearance seems to remain mostly the same in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. The Breath of the Wild's sequel has Zelda sporting shorter hair, and Link gaining a new outfit and a fancy new arm that unlocks new powers for players. Unlike the blue Champion’s Tunic thought, Link's new clothes will feature the iconic green color. But there is one character that may change in appearance entirely.

Tears of the Kingdom will be released in several months, but Nintendo has only shared limited information about the game’s plot. However, it should be safe to assume that the sequel takes place some time after the defeat of Calamity Ganon, which means that fans could see several major BOTW characters return in TOTK, such as Impa and Riju. There is a chance that the characters might also receive new outfits in the sequel, but one person could look considerably more different from their previous appearance in BOTW.

Purah Could Be Older In Tears Of The Kingdom

Purah accidentally transformed her body into a young girl while experimenting with an anti-aging rune. She intended to use this technology to turn retired warriors young again in an attempt to prepare themselves for Ganon's resurrection. Unfortunately, it worked too well, and Purah is now stuck as a small child. Obviously, the scientist does not enjoy experiencing puberty for the second time and has been trying to find ways to reverse the rune’s effect, and it might happen in Tears of the Kingdom.

How Purah Could Restore Her Age In Tears Of The Kingdom

According to Purah’s diary, she had finished developing the beta version of an age-boosting Sheikah Slate rune in BOTW, but the Guidance Stone and the furnace’s blue flame stopped working, preventing her from continuing her research. Thankfully, Link manages to fix those two things when he visits Purah in Hateno village. Considering how adamant Purah is at reversing the rune’s effect, it is likely that she will be able to complete her age-boosting rune research. That means fans could see her older self in Tears of the Kingdom.

Purah’s aging runes could be a powerful tool in the fight against Ganon and might even be considered a key to immortality. If the experiment is successful, Purah could even use the anti-aging rune on her sister, allowing fans to meet younger Impa in Breath of the Wild's sequel. The two characters' could be helpful against Ganondorf, who seems to be much stronger than his incarnation in Breath of the Wild. The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom will be released in May this year, and it might be possible for Purah to appear as her adult self if she manages to finish her experiment on the age-boosting rune.
