You Season 4 Story: How Season 3's Twist Ending Sets It Up
You season 3 ends with a blast, literally, giving room to potential season 4 storylines. After injecting Love with a lethal dose of aconite, Joe plants his DNA in the crime scene and burns down their house, leaving Madre Linda’s residents a juicy murder-suicide tale. He then decides not to bring Henry along as he searches for Marienne, so he leaves his son in the care of Dante (Ben Mehl) and his partner. Without his wife and son to hold him back, at the end of You season 3, Joe goes to Paris to look for Marienne — whatever it takes.
Although life in the suburbs moves forward, those who have been wronged by the Quinn-Goldbergs, including Theo (Dylan Arnold), Matthew (Scott Speedman), and Dottie (Saffron Burrows), might still look for justice — especially since Joe is not exactly in hiding despite going abroad. As for what You season 4 will be about, character descriptions and set photos reveal that it will see Joe enter high society in London for at least part of the story after You season 3's ending sends him to Europe in pursuit of Marienne. While abroad, Joe finds a dangerous friend in Malcolm, a member of London's elite social class, and a potential antagonist in Malcolm's suspicious girlfriend Kate. Joe may even find "love" yet again with the wealthy Lady Phoebe. Regardless of how exactly the story shakes out, You season 4 is sure to be as full of spilled secrets and dark turns as its predecessors.
You Season 4's New Confirmed Characters
Kate is confirmed to be played by Charlotte Ritchie, best known for playing her work in Ghosts and Call the Midwife. With such a significant star in the role and a character that offers the perfect foil to Joe in many ways, Kate is sure to become a major player in You season 4. It's also been confirmed that Lukas Gage will play a new character, Adam, in You season 4, the son of a rich businessman who wants to buck the expectations of his social status. Gage is best known for playing Dillon in HBO's The White Lotus.

Photos from You's London set show that Marienne has swapped her short hair for long blonde braids and is actively running from Joe in some key scenes.
Victoria Pedretti might also return in a recurring role for You season 4's story, either through flashbacks or Joe’s imagination — similar to the scenes involving Beck and Candace Stone (Ambyr Childers). But right now, she is just grateful to the fans who have continuously ed the series, sharing in the twisted romantic journey of Joe Goldberg — who is showing a different, albeit still disturbed, side in You season 3.
