The Cerebro Scan for Calico, aka Becca Constance Simon-Pinette, revealed key details about her upbringing and her mutant ability that gives her a psychic connection to her horse, Ember.

With the Outliers ing the Marvel universe and the X-Men, it will be fascinating to see their stories unfold and their inventive mutant abilities on display while they Rogue’s team and fight the Endling. Calico’s wealthy anti-mutant upbringing paired with her psychic ability to communicate and transform her horse, Ember, make her one of the most interesting characters in the new lineup of wild mutants. As the X-Men line broadens with new mutants and creative new power-sets, the Marvel Universe has to saddle up for the bold debut of Calico and her super-powered horse.
As Calico and the other mutant Outliers seek help from the Rogue-led Uncanny X-Men team, they all emerge as four powerful additions to Marvel canon. Alongside Calico and Ember as they all approach the X-Men for assistance are Ransom, Jitter, and Deathdream. Becca’s captivating psychic-horse ability is not the only bold new power-set among the group; a black hole heart, hyper-focus, and ghost summoning are some of the other Outlier’s gifts given to them with their X-Gene and mutation. Their powers will be necessary to help stop the all-powerful new threat, the Endling, working together with Uncanny X-Men’s iconic heroes.

Which One Is The Endling?
The mutant Outliers need the X-Men's help, but one of them is actually the Endling in disguise.
Uncanny X-Men #1 revealed that the Endling villain is stalking and killing young mutants to punish the X-Men for their Resurrection Protocols and cheating death in the Krakoa era. The four young mutant Outliers have found Rogue’s team, and now are looking to the veteran X-Men to keep them safe from the terrifying new antagonist. Marvel is also quickly establishing a Professor X and Magneto dynamic between Rogue and Cyclops, making Rogue’s class of new mutants she has taken in an important development for the X-Men line overall.
Although the Outliers need the help of the X-Men, it appears one of the four young mutants is secretly part of the horrific plot against the heroes. A shocking and frightening scene in the first issue of Uncanny X-Men sees Rogue, Gambit, and Wolverine visiting a young mutant in the hospital, as arranged by Nightcrawler. The young mutant, Harvey X, was supposed to be on the mend, but dies in front of the team after delivering a haunting warning. He tells Rogue that the mutant Outliers need the X-Men's help, but one of them is actually the Endling in disguise.
