Yes, several characters will be added to WWE 2K25 after launch - we just don't know which ones yet. In previous years, WWE 2K games have released DLC on a more-or-less monthly schedule, beginning around WrestleMania in April. With a Season available with certain editions, and a WrestleMania 41 Pack already confirmed, it looks like 2K25 will be no different.

The first DLC, the WrestleMania 41 Pack, will be released sometime after launch - likely around the time of WrestleMania 41 itself. It'll include at least three playable superstars, identity to be determined, along with a recreation of the WrestleMania 41 Arena.

Five monthly DLC packs are expected to follow, each containing three to five playable characters, none of whom have been announced yet. Each DLC pack typically costs $9.99 USD, but players can also purchase the Season separately for $39.99. A Season is included with the Dean and Bloodline Editions of the game.

Fans have high hopes for WWE 2K25's DLC, after 2K24's made some controversial decisions. The repeated inclusion of non-wrestlers, like Post Malone, Bad Bunny, and the hosts of the Pat McAfee Show, in 2K24's DLC packs proved wildly unpopular with fans who had purchased the Season . Ideally, none of the DLC packs for WWE 2K25 will include anybody who was never, at any point, on a WWE roster. A focus on major NXT players, superstars who sign with WWE after the game's release, or wrestlers of yesteryear who didn't make the cut at launch offer much greater appeal to a far wider fan base.

But whatever the case, it'll be some time until the full roster for 2K25 is released - let alone the full schedule of DLC characters. For now, fans will have to content themselves with poring over the partial WWE 2K25 roster listed here, celebrating those who have been confirmed while wishing for their personal favorites to be added to the mix.
