Netflix's 2024 horror movie The Deliverance and played herself in Peacock's Bel-Air series. The Honest Liar's cast also includes Édgar Ramírez, who previously starred in the second season of American Crime Story and in HBO's The Undoing.

As per Deadline, The Honest Liar features Jackson playing an acclaimed movie actor, Nick DeFranco, who teaches undercover police officers how to act like criminals in exchange for avoiding prison time. However, Nick's job becomes more complicated when he finds himself falling for one of the undercover female police officers he is instructing. The project is written and directed by Wayne Kramer, who previously wrote and directed the 2003 movie The Cooler, starring William H. Macy.
