Amazon Prime Video's The Boys - here is every confirmed returnee. Subtly set up by The Boys season 3, Gen V will shift the franchise's focus from the perils and misadventures of its adult supes to the hi-jinks and mishaps of teenage supes training at Vought's prestigious college. While The Boys' universe is already brimming with eccentric figures, Gen V will introduce new characters such as Patrick Schwarzenegger's Golden Boy, Jaz Sinclair's Madie, and Sean Patrick Thomas's Polarity, among many others.

Although the spinoff's focus will rest largely upon newer cast , the Gen V spinoff trailer affirms that a variety of familiar faces from The Boys will be involved in the spinoff series' storylines. While the extent of their roles remains to be seen, appearances from these established names will serve to tie Gen V deeper into the wider The Boys franchise. Here is everything we know about characters from The Boys returning in Gen V.

Jessie T. Usher As A-Train

The Boys' Jessie T. Usher As A-Train in Gen-V

During his brief appearance in Gen V's trailer, Jessie T. Usher's A-Train proudly sports a Seven cap in what looks like a press conference. Since Gen V will correspond with the events of The Boys season 3, A-Train will likely try rebranding himself as a hero who cares about the Black community. In his pursuit of that aim, he might even show up at Gen V's Godolkin University School of Crimefighting to inspire a young generation of supes.

Because The Boys season 3 referenced A-Train in college, flashbacks in Gen V could reveal how Vought's coach trained him at the academy, and turned a young Reggie Franklin into the morally questionable supe seen in The Boys. This, in turn, could pave the way for Coach Brink being introduced as a strict supe trainer in Gen V. Since A-Train is the face of Vought's Turbo Rush energy drink, Gen V might also include commercials featuring the speedster. Gen V's trailer refers to this by showing a Turbo Rush vending machine in Godolkin's corridors.

Colby Minifie As Ashley Barrett

Colby Minifie As Ashley Barrett in The Boys and Gen V

In The Boys season 3, Colby Minifie's Ashley Barrett takes over as Vought's CEO after Stan Edgar is asked to step down. Since she only gets promoted because Homelander suggests her name to the board, Ashley becomes a helpless accomplice to Homelander's wrongdoing. As Ashley's story progresses, however, she silently rebels against the Seven's overpowered leader by deleting footage of Maeve surviving in The Boys season 3's finale.

Taking this act of mercy as a cue, Gen V could show how Ashley struggles to cover up for supes while still trying to hold on to her morals. Gen V's violent trailer suggests that its young teenage supes are even more prone to moral misjudgments and impulsive super-powered outbursts than adult supes. Owing to this, masking the students' blunders while maintaining a decent reputation for Godolkin University School in the public eye will likely prove even more challenging for Ashley in Gen V than covering for the Seven in The Boys.

P. J. Byrne As Adam Bourke

Gen V can explore more of Ashley's complicated relationship with Adam Bourke after the pair's aggressive sex session during the Vought premiere of The Boys' Dawn of the Seven superhero parody movie. As a director for Vought Studios, Bourke's involvement with The Boys' spinoff series could also mean that Gen V will feature more meta-superhero self-parodying movies that lampoon the MCU and DCU. Gen V could highlight how Bourke, like Ashley, strives to portray young supes in a positive light through his movies, even though he knows all about their true natures in real life.

Which Other The Boys Characters Could Appear In Gen V?

Before The Boys season 4, Gen V might set the stage for the new Black Noir by either foreshadowing his appearance or featuring a brief cameo. Set photos from Gen V suggest that the spinoff's storyline will unfold with the presidential election as its backdrop. This indicates that the aspiring president Bob Singer and his running mate, Victoria Neuman, might briefly appear in Gen V. Gen V's storyline could also have direct crossovers with The Boys where the spinoff's young supes are permanently or temporarily recruited by the Seven.

If teenage supes from Gen V do have a brush with the Seven, even leading cast and characters from The Boys such as Antony Starr's Homelander and Erin Moriarty's Starlight could make cameos in the spinoff. This would make sense, as Gen V's official synopsis describes Godolkin University School of Crimefighting as a place where "young adult Supes are tested in The Hunger Games-style challenges." As Blindspot can attest, Homelander is no stranger to putting aspiring Seven through their paces, whereas Starlight may attempt to coax the Gen V teens away from ing the Seven.
