Termites are a dangerous insect species found in the Upper Yard in craft Termite Armor, Termite Delight, or Repair Glue, which is essential for repairing advanced Tools and Armor.
While Red and Black Ants can be found wandering most of the Backyard, Termites in Grounded prefer to avoid sunlight and reside in dark underground areas, namely the Undershed and Termite Den. These two locations can be found in the upper-left corner of the in-game map, northwest of Koi Pond. The Undershed serves more as a gauntlet than a typical biome, as it is swarming with all manner of dangerous creatures. Therefore, those looking only to find Termites are advised to visit the Termite Den.
To reach the Termite Den in Grounded, players must travel to the Shed Surroundings northwest of the Grasslands. After ing through the BBQ Spill, continue northward to eventually reach the Woodpile in Grounded, where two entrances of the Termite Den can be found. The lower entryway can be entered from ground level, while the upper entrance requires some climbing and parkour. However, players can easily glide to this elevated spot by ascending the wooden two-by-four near the Shed's porch and jumping from the Woodpile's axe's handle.
Finding Termites In Grounded
The Termite Den in Grounded should always be swarming with Termites and Termite Soldiers. If players go deep enough into the lair, they encounter the Termite King, the mini-boss guarding the Woodpile BURG.L Chip. Before facing these Termite variants, it is crucial to understand the weaknesses of this creature type. Termites are weak to the Salty element but resistant to both Fresh and Spicy. Additionally, this enemy in Grounded takes increased damage from Stabbing attacks.
The Grounded Wiki states that Rapier- and Spear-type weapons can inflict Stabbing, including all Arrow types. For melee, the Rusty Spear or the Tiger Mosquito Rapier would be the best armaments for farming Termites in Grounded. Players looking to deal even more damage can use their Smithing Station to augment their weaponry with Salty by using Salt Globs. The recipe for these globs can be unlocked with the Sandbox BURG.L Chip located in the Sandbox Lab Outpost.
