WHERE TO WATCH

  • This movie is the low point of the Transformers franchise, a mess of a movie that feels like multiple plots frankenstened together and barely inconsistent with its own series lore, having just given up on any arcs that AoE tried to establish in favor of spectacle and shock. Even with a cast full of talented new additions including Laura Haddock, Gemma Chan, and Sir Anthony Hopkins, everything just feels dated, with few involved having a good time. I am glad this wasn't the last note Transformers left on theatrically, because it deserves so much better.

  • Where the Michael Bay saga has finally run its course. Watching Anthony Hopkins get ragdolled by a Transforming if life changing hilarious stuff. The aspect ratio switching was absolutely wild. Bay is a man. Should have honestly ended at Dark of the Moon even though I found some stuff to like in Age of Extinction.

Transformers: The Last Knight Review
4/10

Transformers: The Last Knight has a deeper mythos and bigger spectacle than its predecessors, yet still ends up being mostly hollow and cacophonous.
