WHERE TO WATCH

Reviews(2)

  • This dystopian action sci-fi comedy blended so many genres together, some critics couldn't handle it upon release. Schwarzenegger does a serviceable job, and the hardest suspension of disbelief is imagining he could in any way be an average guy.

  • A guilty pleasure watch for sure but a fun watch nevertheless. Paul Verhoeven knew how to make controversial movies, with Total Recall being no exception. But the movie keeps your attention all the way through and is an enjoyable watch as long as you're ok with movie violence and nudity. If not, steer clear of Total Recall and pretty much any Verhoeven movie in general.

Based on Philip K. Dick's short story "We Can It for You Wholesale", Total Recall tells the story of Douglas Quaid (Arnold Schwarzenegger), a construction worker who receives an implanted memory of an adventure in humanity's colony on Mars.
