I'm not a fan of Nick Kroll or Jason Mantzoukas, both in the sense of their performances or their sense of humor, but Big Mouth has a lot of genuine humor and insight. It's also clear from the start that the endeavor is driven by a genuine desire to remove the mystique and shame from growing up. Still, Kroll haunts the show with a selection of voices that presumably made other comics laugh between stand-up sets.

The concept of Big Mouth is interesting, since nearly everyone can relate to the awkwardness of puberty and growing up. However, the animation style is offputting and I'm not a fan of all the body humor and shock value jokes.

How did this get renewed so many times? Like many of its stars, it seems to want to promote progressive ideas while being ignorantly problematic. Only occasionally funny, usually gross.
