Warning: Spoilers for DC's Round Robin #2 ahead!

DC Comics has released DC's Round Robin #2 on DC Infinite which includes a preview of DC's 2nd Annual Round Robin event.

DC's Round Robin is an event, that may be happening annually after two successful years of fan-voting, where DC solicits comics creators to submit series pitches and concept art (with pay!) for fans to vote, leading to the winner getting their pitch published as a full limited series. While there have been truly so many amazing pitches during the 2022 Round Robin the final two titles left standing were Suicide Squad: Dark and Superboy: Man of Tomorrow, which fans can now vote for to secure the final winner.

Superboy: Man of Tomorrow - written by Kenny Porter (Superman: Man of Tomorrow, Batman Urban Legends) with art by Jahnoy Lindsay (Hawkeye: Kate Biship, Truth & Justice) - has emerged as one of the final two contenders for a variety of reasons, from the gorgeous concept art, to the emotional pitch, to fans fervent love of the character Conner Kent. While it is not entirely clear what continuity or timeline this story takes place in, it is obvious that the main emotional arc of the series is about Kon-El finding his place in the universe and his purpose, as it seems like the heroes of Earth have all the planet-side crises well handled. Considering Jon in Superman despite Conner earning the mantle, it makes sense that Conner would feel out of place. In Superboy: Man of Tomorrow Conner will leave Earth, after being inspired by Ma and Pa Kent, which "...brings him face to face with a group of freedom fighters who challenge not just everything Conner stands for, but what it means to bear the Superman crest."

DC Round Robin Superboy Man of Tomorrow Evil Clones

Conner has the Fortress of Solitude's AI robot Kelex find him an intergalactic crisis and decides to travel to an unknown world that is being attached by Dominator Warships with clone warriors, using a faulty Zeta-Beam teleporter band. Once he arrives, Superboy quickly approaches a local creature for more information on the attack, who tells him that they steal their strongest warriors, creating new super-soldier clones based on their spliced DNA. Now, this battle has taken on a deeply personal level for Conner whose character development and plots have often focused on him trying to find his identity as a gene-spliced clone. Hopefully, Porter and Lindsay will use Kon-El's troubling history as a clone as the driving force behind this journey of finding one's home, but the truly tough-looking clones revealed on the last page also promise that this series will be filled with brutal fights for Superboy! The prior revealed pitch for the series showed that Conner will be getting in between the Dominators and a rebel space group called the Cosmoteers and he will need to get in between them to "carve a brighter future for worlds that don’t have a Superman."

Fans of Conner Kent, the brutal Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow, or other emotional action-packed space romps make sure to vote for Superboy: Man of Tomorrow to see Kon-El - the heroic clone of Superman and Lex Luthor - in a brand new adventure.
