Ahsoka Season 2: Story, Updates, Everything We Know

Ahsoka season 2 is confirmed and has received exciting new story and filming updates. Here's everything we know about the Star Wars project.

1

11 Garazeb "Zeb" Orrelios

First Appeared: Star Wars Rebels

One of the most beloved of the Ghost crew from Star Wars Rebels was notably absent from Ahsoka season 1: Garazeb Orrelios, or Zeb. He had been a key player throughout Rebels, and he and Ezra had a constant, almost brotherly banter that brought humor to even the more upsetting events of the show. Given that, it was a bit of a surprise for him to be absent when Ezra, Hera, Chopper, and Sabine were all ed for.

Zeb might be difficult to recreate in live-action, but that definitely doesn't explain his absence in Ahsoka season 1, as why Zeb did not appear in Ahsoka, then, but hopefully, that reason does not extend to season 2; Zeb and Ezra need to have their on-screen reunion.

10 Din Djarin & Grogu

First Appeared: The Mandalorian

Although Luke Skywalker's Jedi Temple, so their reunion would make perfect sense.

This could be one possible way for Ahsoka and Sabine to make it off Peridea, too. At the end of Ahsoka season 1, Sabine and Ahsoka end up stranded on the planet far, far away after Thrawn and Ezra escape. As a bounty hunter, Din Djarin might be the most equipped to aid in that kind of mission, and as he's just agreed to assist the New Republic with certain jobs at the end of The Mandalorian season 3, the groundwork has already been laid.

9 Princess Leia

First Appeared: Star Wars

Carrie Fisher as Princess Leia surrounded by Stormtroopers in Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope

Princess Leia must make an appearance in Ahsoka season 2. Leia was both a prominent senator in the New Republic and a leader in the Rebellion and the Resistance; it wouldn't make any sense for her to not be present for the events of Ahsoka, especially now that Thrawn has been unleashed upon the galaxy. While a recast will be a loaded, emotional choice, it's unfortunately what will need to happen for this character to return in light of Carrie Fisher's ing. However, Star Wars can certainly do this respectfully for such a critical figure in the New Republic.

8 Luke Skywalker

First Appeared: Star Wars

Luke Skywalker in Tatooine looking to the distance in Star Wars A New Hope.

Luke has already (thrillingly) appeared in The Mandalorian and The Book of Boba Fett, so Star Wars could surely keep that trend going in Ahsoka season 2. In The Mandalorian season 2 finale, Luke comes to get Grogu and brings him to his Jedi Temple to be trained. However, in The Book of Boba Fett, Grogu elects to leave Luke to return to Din Djarin. This has left Luke in an exciting place during the events of Ahsoka, which occurs after both The Book of Boba Fett and The Mandalorian.

Having lost the first potential Padawan of his Jedi Temple, Star Wars has a gap for this period in Luke's journey to re-establish the Jedi. Between Grogu's departure and the creation of Kylo Ren, Luke does acquire additional Padawans and makes progress toward creating a Jedi Temple of his own. Ahsoka season 2, alongside soliciting Luke's help with fighting Thrawn, could provide an update on the Temple's progress, perhaps even introducing some of the Padawans.

7 Ben Solo

First Appeared: Star Wars: The Force Awakens

While Ben Solo wouldn't yet be one of the Padawan learners at Luke's Temple, he would shortly go on to be, and he was already born and obviously a major part of Leia's life. It would make sense for Ben to appear even briefly by Leia's side, although it would be even better for Ben to appear and already be showing signs of a pull to the dark side of the Force. Particularly given Adam Driver seemingly confirming he will not be returning in New Jedi Order, it would be nice to get a new (perhaps final) Ben Solo appearance.

Every Ahsoka Episode, Ranked Worst To Best

With Ahsoka reaching its midway point with episode 4, here is the definitive ranking of all the show’s episodes from worst to best thus far.

6 Kanan Jarrus

First Appeared: Star Wars Rebels

One of the most painful deaths in recent Star Wars memory was that of Kanan Jarrus, who died to save the of the Ghost crew in Star Wars Rebels. Kanan carried on the teachings of the Jedi through Ezra, and he was a wonderful representation of what the Jedi could be, even when they had attachments. Because he died, he would need to return as a Force ghost, but there's already significant precedence for that in Ahsoka, and it would be amazing to see him interact either with Ezra or with his son whom he never met, Jacen Syndulla.

5 Han Solo

First Appeared: Star Wars

Han Solo (Harrison Ford) looking smug in Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope.

Like Luke and Leia, Han remained active following the events of Return of the Jedi, and it would be interesting to see what he was up to during this time. By the time of The Force Awakens, it's clear that Han and Leia had major breakdowns in their relationship, but those issues were evidently in the wake of their son's turn to the dark side. Getting a glimpse of Han up to no good as usual and perhaps showcasing a bit of happier screen time for Han's and Leia's marriage would be a nice touch.

4 Bo-Katan Kryze

First Appeared: Star Wars: The Clone Wars

Bo-Katan was last seen atop a throne in The Mandalorian season 3 and was in the process of restoring Mandalore to its proper glory. Of course, The Mandalorian & Grogu will likely touch more upon what Mandalore's status is, particularly because Bo-Katan was such a major character throughout the show's three seasons thus far, but, if Bo-Katan appeared, Ahsoka could offer a brief, exciting glimpse into that progress. Bo-Katan and Ahsoka also have yet to share on-screen time in live-action, and this would be the perfect time to change that.

3 Agent Kallus

First Appeared: Star Wars Rebels

Agent Kallus was a somewhat minor but also fascinating character in Star Wars Rebels. Starting out as an antagonist and staunch Imperialist, he grew to have an understanding of Zeb in particular, and he ultimately took over as Fulcrum after Ahsoka disappeared following her fight with Darth Vader. This turn was a surprising and exciting moment of character development, and it was made even better when Zeb and Kallus became incredibly close, going off together at the end of Rebels. Having an update on him, especially alongside Zeb, would make sense and be a wonderful cameo.

2 Master Yoda

First Appeared: The Empire Strikes Back

Yoda vs Darth Sidious in Revenge of the Sith with Yoda looking angry and wielding his green lightsaber

Master Yoda proved throughout the original and sequel trilogies that he was happy to appear as a Force ghost. In The Last Jedi, Yoda comes back just to tease Luke and steer him in the right direction when he believes it's time to end the Jedi. Despite that, Master Yoda has yet to appear to Ahsoka as a Force ghost. The two reconnected in Rebels, which was nice, given that Yoda played a role in Ahsoka leaving the Jedi and the two had not interacted since Order 66, but he would surely be a helpful, guiding presence for Ahsoka now.
