The casts of Star Trek had ample cause to celebrate after Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, and Star Trek: The Next Generation won big at the 51st annual Saturn Awards. Recognizing excellence in the sci-fi, horror, and fantasy genres, the Saturns highlighted the achievements of Star Trek on Paramount+'s biggest series in ways the Emmy Awards and Critics Choice Awards voters failed to, although Strange New Worlds did receive Critics Choice nominations. Star Trek: Picard's 7 nominations and Strange New Worlds' 6 nominations led the television field, with Star Trek: Lower Decks unfortunately losing the Best Animated Series or Special Saturn to Star Wars: The Bad Batch.

Todd Stashwick ed his fellow Star Trek: Picard cast on stage when Picard won Best Science Fiction Television Series, and Stashwick made sure to snap plenty of photos as Star Trek actors celebrated their big Saturn Awards wins. In all, Star Trek: Picard won 5 major awards, while Paul Wesley won the Saturn for Best Guest Star in a Television Series for Star Trek: Strange New Worlds. Star Trek: The Next Generation also won a Lifetime Achievement Award. Check out Stashwick's posts on Twitter/X below:

2024 Could Be A Star Trek Year With No Starship Enterprise

2023 saw multiple versions of the Starship Enterprise between Star Trek: Picard and Strange New Worlds, but 2024 could go without the famed starship.

Picard & Strange New Worlds The Star Trek Torch

Discovery, Lower Decks, and Prodigy are Star Trek's 2024 series

Star Trek's big Saturn Awards wins are also a last hurrah for Star Trek: Picard and Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, at least for a little while. Star Trek on Paramount+'s biggest 2024 series is Star Trek: Discovery season 5. Premiering in April, Discovery season 5 is also the final season of the 32nd century-set saga starring Sonequa Martin-Green as Captain Michael Burnham. Discovery's final season will be followed later in 2024 by Star Trek: Lower Decks season 5. Over on Netflix, Star Trek: Prodigy season 2 will also premiere sometime in 2024.

Star Trek: Section 31, the made-for-streaming on Paramount+ movie starring Academy Award-winner Michelle Yeoh, is in production now and could premiere late in 2024.

Star Trek: Strange New Worlds season 3 is also in production for an expected release in 2025 on Paramount+. However, there remains no Star Trek: Picard season 3 spinoff in development, which places the future of characters like Captain Seven of Nine (Jeri Ryan) and the crew of the USS Enterprise-G in limbo. Hopefully, the recognition Star Trek: Picard season 3 got at the Saturn Awards may jump-start Star Trek: Legacy at long last, but that remains to be seen.

Star Trek: Picard and Star Trek: Strange New Worlds are available to stream on Paramount+.
