Below Deck Down Under season 3 has been one of the most highly anticipated premieres of the year, and there are signs this season could be the best the series has ever produced. Although Below Deck Down Under season 3 hasn’t released an official premiere date, there was some content shared surrounding the series' season during Bravo’s FanFest. With viewers excited to see more of Below Deck Down Under, the preview didn’t disappoint. Captain Jason and Chef Tzarina were both shown in the preview, which featured Captain Jason and the other male crew stripping down to silk robes for a “Captain’s Lounge” party for the charter guests. The preview was a short but exciting sneak peek at the newest season of the show, giving viewers a look at the crew’s antics.

The Series Last Season Was Tough

While many are excited about the impending season of Below Deck Down Under and its return to Bravo, there have been some serious issues with the series in recent years. Throughout the first season of Below Deck Down Under, things ran smoothly with the crew as they got to know the vessel and served charter guests, but the second season of the series raised some issues. Chief Stew Aesha was able to quell her stews, but the exterior team struggled to stay in line, and eventually, something serious brought the season to a halt.

During the end stretch of Below Deck Down Under season 2, deckhand Luke Jones had an instance of sexual misconduct aboard Northern Sun. Sneaking into inebriated stew Margot Sisson’s bunk, Luke was inappropriate with the stew before getting removed from the situation by Chief Stew Aesha. While there were several other dramas throughout Below Deck Down Under season 2, the sexual misconduct issue was easily the most intense moment of the season and left a stain on the series that has yet to be wiped away.

Things Are Changing Aboard Northern Sun

Although there were issues with Below Deck Down Under season 2’s cast, things have changed for the Below Deck Down Under season 3. According to Captain Jason, new protocols and procedures were put in place for the yachties and the production team, who appear to be listening to fans’ after the drama. Despite knowing that there are always unknowable variables that come with reality TV, Below Deck Down Under appears like it will be exciting and vastly different than the previous season, with a more concerted effort to keep the crew safe.
