In April 2019, Vanessa took to her Instagram in a now-deleted post to explain her reasons for unexpectedly leaving the plural marriage she embraced on the show. Vanessa stated that her break from Dimitri and Ashley came after some soul-searching. Vanessa shared that she still loved Dimitri and Ashley but said that she had ignored her misgivings during the marriage. At first, Vanessa's amicable message appeared to be her last word on that relationship. Then, she spoke out against her former partners.

Vanessa discussed the domestic abuse allegations made against Dimitri and Ashley. Eighteen months after Vanessa left Dimitri and Ashley, the couple continued their search for a sister wife, focusing on South African mother Christeline Petersen. Christeline filled the void Vanessa left during season 3 of the reality series, ing Dimitri and Ashley's polygamous relationship at the end of the season.

Christeline Filed A Restraining Order Against The Snowdens

To Dimitri and Ashley's dismay, Christeline followed in Vanessa's footsteps, divorcing the Seeking Sister Wife couple shortly after marrying into their family. However, Christeline's relationship with Dimitri and Ashley ended on worse than Vanessa's. After leaving them, Christeline filed a restraining order and accused Dimitri and Ashley of abuse. Christeline had trouble proving Dimitri and Ashley's guilt in court, but she has a group of Seeking Sister Wife alumni who strongly her.

In addition to Dimitri's exes, Tayler Middleton and Ariadne Joseph, condemning the reality star's actions, Vanessa has broken her silence to Christeline. In a since-deleted Instagram post.

Vanessa's now-deleted social media activity indicated that she might have a complicated past with Dimitri and Ashley, which she has not revealed. Additionally, Seeking Sister Wife star Tayler spoke about Dimitri's alleged abuse, and implied that many of the polygamous couple's exes have signed non-disclosure agreements (NDAs). This would explain Vanessa's enigmatic statements about her relationship with Dimitri and Ashley. Vanessa and Ariadne set up a GoFundMe for Christeline as she returned to Africa following her negative experience with Dimitri and Ashley, which raised over $10,000.

From their abrupt breakup to Vanessa's pointed Instagram posts, the former reality star is reclaiming her voice to Christeline's fight against Dimitri and Ashley. Vanessa's experience on Seeking Sister Wife might not have been what it seemed, but the couple's ex-sister wife stopped holding back, but appears to have moved on from it all now.

In a surprising turn of events, Christeline went on to Seeking Sister Wife season 4. While she appeared to have courted the family off-camera in 2022, Christeline no longer appears a part of that family. Meanwhile, Vanessa has stopped embracing polygamy and now has a monogamous lifestyle.

Vanessa Has Moved On From Her Seeking Sister Wives Past

Vanessa's life looks much different in 2024 than it did in 2018 and 2019 with the Snowdens.

Vanessa seems to have completely moved on from the Seeking Sister Wife chapter of her life and is embracing her reality TV fame and love life.

In December 2023, Vanessa posted a collage of photos from her wedding day. In her Instagram bio, Vanessa described herself as a "WA based Filmmaker." It was a beautiful wedding, with her husband, whose identity is unknown, wearing a shirt and vest, and her in a gorgeous off-white gown.

Furthermore, Vanessa has 76,000 followers on her verified Instagram and has been using her fame to her advantage. On her feed, Vanessa frequently promotes brands and companies and appears to have partnerships that likely earn her money. Vanessa has also showcased her ion for the BLM and LGBTQ+ movements and highlights her "Activist" disposition on Instagram. Vanessa is also very involved in her family life. Her twin sister had a baby and she has been a proud auntie.

The Snowdens seemed like an entertaining polygamist family on the show, and viewers watched Vanessa be enchanted with the couple enough to marry them. However, things weren't as they seemed as evidenced by the dramatic fallout. However, Vanessa is removed from that drama today, but still maintains a large following from her time on Seeking Sister Wife.
