Sarah Catherine Hook's character, People We Meet on Vacation adaptation, and her impressive past work.
5 The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It
Sarah Catherine Hook Played Debbie Glatzel
In 2021, Sarah Catherine Hook made her feature film debut in the horror movie The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It as Debbie Glatzel. Following the lead of several other films in James Wan's Conjuring franchise, The Devil Made Me Do It centers on another one of Ed and Lorraine Warren's paranormal investigation cases. Initially, the Warrens were called to the Glatzels' house to help with the possession of their young son, but the demon jumped into Arne Johnson instead, later supposedly leading him to kill his landlord.
Hook's character, Debbie, is the older sister of the possessed boy and the partner of Arne Johnson. Debbie is caught in the middle of a family suddenly wracked with a traumatic experience and a partner facing jail time. As a result, the horror movie gives Hook a fair amount of screen time to express both the fear and sadness of her character, creating a strong showing for her first film. The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It received mixed reviews overall, but it fits nicely with the fun, spooky tone of the universe's other installments.
4 Impeachment: American Crime Story
Sarah Catherine Hook Played Catherine Allday Davis
In the same year as her movie debut, Sarah Catherine Hook also appeared in n FX's true-crime series, American Crime Story in the "Impeachment" season, which outlined the President Bill Clinton-Monica Lewinsky scandal. The series jumps back and forth across the scandal's timeline, from Lewinsky beginning her internship at the White House to the aftermath of the events for all the key figures involved. Within the series, Hook portrays Catherine Allday Davis, a college friend of Monica Lewinsky, who later becomes involved in the grand jury investigation.

Piper Ratliff's Ideal White Lotus Season 3 Ending Already Happened Back In Season 1
Piper ended up backing out of her original Thailand plans in The White Lotus season 3, which would have resembled a season 1 character's story.
Sarah Catherine Hook only appears in a few episodes of American Crime Story season 3 during conversations with Beanie Feldstein's Monica Lewinsky. The two friends discuss Lewinsky's "boyfriend," with Davis expressing concern over her level of commitment, and the two later reflect on the outcome of the scandal and where Lewinsky can go from there. Despite the weight and fame of the subject matter, their interactions do truly feel like two good friends having an honest conversation, and the series as a whole is gripping throughout.
3 First Kill
Sarah Catherine Hook Played Juliette Fairmont
Netflix's 2022 series First Kill marked another significant milestone for Sarah Catherine Hook as it created her first leading role in a series. The supernatural teen drama centered on two 16-year-old girls on opposite sides of a centuries-old rivalry. Sarah Catherine Hook's character, Juliette Fairmont, belongs to a family of vampires and must complete her first kill to enter adulthood and the other vampires. In contrast, Calliope "Cal" Burns is descended from a family of vampire hunters, though she, too, must kill her first monster.

Netflix’s First Kill: 10 Movies & Shows Where You’ve Seen The Cast
Netflix’s First Kill had its cast as part of the teen monster drama genre. But what other materials have the actors both appeared and excelled in?
First Kill takes on a sort of modern-day Romeo and Juliet plot, with the two girls falling for each other quickly, in spite of what their families say. The teen drama is perfectly soapy and supernatural, making it a great watch for fans of other similar fantasy shows. Additionally, the show's two leads are great at portraying teen girls just finding their voices and desires, giving something for teen audiences to relate to.
Audiences and critics alike were quick to point out that the show was a big win in of LGBTQ+ representation.
Sadly, First Kill was canceled by Netflix after its first season, but fans were quick to rush to its defense. Though Juliette and Cal's story may have ended too soon, audiences and critics alike were quick to point out that the show was a big win in of LGBTQ+ representation. Young queer women were able to see themselves represented on-screen in a new way, which allowed the characters' sexuality to weave seamlessly and entertainingly into the story without making it only about their queerness.
2 Cruel Intentions
Sarah Catherine Hook Played Caroline Merteuil
Prime Video's 2024 TV series Cruel Intentions builds off the fun, steamy legacy of its hit movie predecessor with new characters and a new location. Sarah Catherine Hook takes the lead as Caroline Merteuil opposite Zac Burgess as Lucien Belmont. Similar to the 1999 Cruel Intentions film, Merteuil and Belmont are step-siblings with far too much time and money on their hands. This leads the two to create a bet about whether Lucien will be able to seduce the college's new girl, Annie Grover.

Cruel Intentions Season 2: Cancelation & Everything We Know
Hoping to capitalize on '90s nostalgia, Prime Video produced a TV remake of Cruel Intentions, but the modernized college story is canceled.
In the same way that Gossip Girl is entertaining because it is hard to look away from the enthralling, but terrible, things that the characters can get up to, Cruel Intentions knows that its characters are messy, and the series leans into it. There is never any doubt that Hook's Caroline will continue scheming or that Lucien will not meet her manipulations with those of his own. Though the series was canceled by Prime Video after one season, Cruel Intentions shows Sarah Catherine Hook's talent at shifting into a very different type of character than anything she had done previously.
1 The White Lotus
Sarah Catherine Hook Played Piper Ratliff
Though several of Sarah Catherine Hook's previous shows and movies have garnered a fair amount of attention, Hook is now most recognizable as Piper Ratliff in The White Lotus season 3. As with its previous two seasons, The White Lotus season 3 followed an ensemble cast of characters to a beautiful resort, this season in Thailand. Hook's character ed her wealthy parents and two brothers at the idyllic spa resort, secretly hoping to stay in Thailand for a year afterward.
The White Lotus season 3 offered arguably even more drama and tension than the previous two seasons, particularly among Piper's family , but Hook's character largely stayed out of trouble. Piper's main story revolves around her decision to a Buddhist monastery, leaving her family. Though Piper makes a surprising decision in The White Lotus season 3's ending, her tranquility in the sea of chaos that was the Ratliff family was fun to watch.

The White Lotus Season 3 Finale's Deleted Piper & Zion Scene Would Have Helped Fix A Disappointing Part Of The Ratliff Family's Ending
Not every filmed scene made the cut for the season 3 finale of The White Lotus, including one shocking moment shared between Piper and Zion.
Despite having fewer heavy dramatic moments than some of The White Lotus's other cast , Sarah Catherine Hook's performance was very nuanced, particularly in understanding why Piper would make her big ending decision. Piper is largely a sympathetic character that seems at odds with her family, but there is still this understanding that she is more like them than she cares to it. Given how much attention The White Lotus has received, hopefully, Sarah Catherine Hook's best performances will continue to earn more recognition.
