Resident Alien season 3 ended with Harry and Bridget (Andrea Geones) imprisoned on the Greys' base on the Moon, after the former was tricked into trading places with the Mantid (Clancy Brown). This cliffhanger ending happens just as Sheriff Mike (Corey Reynolds) gets proof of the aliens that have been inhabiting his town, while D'Arcy (Alice Wetterlund) saves the Hawthorne's baby from the Greys. These events help set the stage for a much bigger season 4, dealing with new threats and experiences for its characters.

It's unclear what Tudyk's filming update means for season 4's development progress from here, as the show still needs to go through post-production before the show is complete. Season 3 finished filming in May 2023 but didn't get released until February 2024, something that was partially impacted by the 2023 Hollywood strikes.
