The trailer for Reservation Dogs season 3 compares the show's last episodes to Empire Strikes Back. It was announced in June that the acclaimed Hulu show would come to an end with its third installment. Show creator Sterlin Harjo shared the news on social media, explaining that it felt like the right creative decision for the show. Harjo added that, along with producers and co-creator Taika Waititi, the forthcoming finale felt like the perfect closer once they'd arrived at it.

The cast of Reservation Dogs

According to the synopsis for season 3, Reservation Dogs will sign off with its signature style. The episodes will see the titular group, known as the Rez Dogs, stranded in California, and they'll have to find a way home. In its last episodes, the comedy promises to be full of road trips, bathroom wisdom, Bigfoot, and even a bit of revenge and healing. The goodbye season will also continue to show the group still dealing with the death of their friend Daniel (Dalton Cramer), which has been the show's key focus.

Despite that starting point, the Reservation Dogs cast, which includes D’Pharaoh Woon-A-Tai, Devery Jacobs, Paulina Alexis, and Lane Factor, thrives in comedic situations. The show has even been nominated for a Golden Globe in the Best Comedy category. To add to that, Reservation Dogs has the distinction of more than 80 best-of lists that examine the best that TV has to offer.
