Wow YOU CANT HAVE ANY TASTE OR ABLE EMOTIONALLY RELATE TO having a family. It’s about Family Dynamics which MOST will do anything for their children as did Ray Donovan. I say you can’t have any taste in shows because Ray Donovan was the most highest Rated series on showtime for all 7 years and even in the 7th season its was the 2nd highest rated showtime series. The show was set and wrote to continue another season which would have been 8 years when to everyone’s surprise it abruptly cancelled. Due to Showtime being bought out by CBS/Viacam. Again it was the 2nd highest rated yet after the buyout it was cancelled and shows with little ratings stayed. It was expensive to film so with so much money needing for filming that says also a lot of action and not boring. The slow parts was all about connection which built up more to feel and relate to the action parts. One last point, the fan base was so huge still after 7 years that with the show’s sudden stop they had so many complaints and fans speaking out that in only 2 weeks from it’s cancellation they decided to bring back Ray Donovan in some way… fans hoped it was season 8 but it wasn’t. Instead they made Ray Donovan the movie to give fans an ending.

Yoour entitled to your opinion just as I am… I just wanted to share some FACTS on my opinion. So it’s not just my opinion it’s backed up with truth. Most people loved the show. Oh and Dad show yes can mean Dads watch it and relate but can also mean played best Dad in a series. Again the article said he was best because he showed his emotional struggles with his children/family and inside himself with his violent lifestyle. While the other show was just all action and violence no way to connect emotionally…. But I get it that’s your thing… just wanted to help you understand why this article said what it did. You seemed to not understand.
