Aside from everyone debating their generation to the topic; I was born in the first few days of the 80's. I've seen all these movies at all different ages of my life span and rewatched some. I was never never traumatized by any of these great films. Sure emotionally at times I was connected to the characters and what tragedies occurred; I'm human I'm meant to feel a certain way and the emotions fit the moment as it should for anyone functioning normally. Truthfully, it's what made them so great of movies, the stories and conveyed emotions of these characters, the good and bad things in life, it helped mold you in understanding and gave you ways to possibly even learn how to cope with real life tragedies, losses and emotions. I was watching horror films by my teens and even those didn't traumatize me. I grew up watching older darker films and cartoons ,movies, etc.. none of it traumatized me, if anything it opened up creative juices in my brain, thoughts and defined unclear emotions I felt growing up.
