Our inability to understand something is frightening in it's own right. Heck, we call anyone with unpredictable behavior as crazy, deviant, or mad.

I'm honestly ashamed of the monster fan base. Predators have become candy as$'d pansy loving heros. They are no longer the manifestation of our darkest unspeakable fears, but characters of hope, honed into heros from the darkest of humanity's fears.

Can you differentiate various chimps from one another? Real chimps, not CGI of what movie makers want chimps to look like?

The point is, the movie makers want to humanize extraterrestrial aliens.

I empathize with you. Because as gamers, we want all studios to go that extra mile. And although I have been enjoying the game, doesn't mean there isn't opportunity for me to enjoy it more.

But, we are also talking about Microsoft. I don't know how much gavel they pound, but profit driven bureaucracy in a video games development prohibits anything that doesn't fit their profit margins.
