I think there were gas stations west of them, but like everything else, they were closed for winter. No one in their right mind would be driving through the Dakotas, Wyoming and Montana during the Winter. The British couple didn’t understand how dangerous it was to continue their journey to Montana. To them it was a fun adventure.
