Yeah, I dunno. I love both shows but for VERY different reasons, even I don't really consider them particularly related. And I know plenty of people who I'm certain would be really into one, but completely hate the other (on both sides).

And since only three albums qualify for this list (the first two being 1970s releases), Synchronicity really only has to be... not necessarily BETTER than Zenyatta Mondatta and Ghost in the Machine, but more "rockin'". I can see a reasonable argument being made that that's the case.

Ok, for #4 the only thing you really need to know to understand the joke is that one of the oldest fossils of a hominid ever discovered is a 3.2 million year old set of bones discovered in 1974, named Lucy. And as the Wikipedia article says, "After public announcement of the discovery, Lucy captured much international interest, becoming a household name at the time." In 1987, that was NOT an obscure joke.

If you "don't want to be mean", dunking on kids with Down syndrome is a terrible way to show it. Either you DO want to be mean, or (even worse) you don't understand how mean that kind of comparison really is.
