If I were to put wicked on here at all (which I probably wouldnt) id of put it much lower on the list. The fact that it's a musical will stop many people from watching it. Musicals can be really good but they are definitely an acquired taste. I'd throw the original Wizard of Oz on this list well before I even thought of wicked.

If you'd like to get down to the technical side of it all, the only canon material is the manga. The anime adaptations are slightly different in some regards (goku and his UI for one recent one).

If an anime has come out and it has a manga to follow, it's the most canon the anime can be. If there is no manga for the anime (Diama and GT) then it isn't canon in any form.

I'd say id have to agree with this list. Piccolo may be physically stronger than Neva but never doubt the abilities of someone who is a master of magic.

Only thing I'd probably reword is saying piccolo is "same level" as Goku and Vegeta. He's definitely approaching that level but the only other characters that are now "same level" would be Broly and Gohan. Once broly masters his techniques hell be the absolute top. That is until Goku ends up be written as omnipotent (because that's how she goes) got off on a tangent there but you get my drift!

I thought the same thing. I found the 8 show to be very well done. And yes, by the end it hits a whole other level of what it means to be human and whether we are inherently evil or pushed into it by nurture.

Great write-up! I never thought to look at it like that and yea I agree. Had he not been redeemed last minute, it would have been hell-on-earth for the balance. Great job expanding a picture of what could have been.

I'd have to mostly disagree with Star wars solely because they said after 2 movies. The 3rd (ep6) is definitely the lesser of the og 3 but it still has its place. Now if you mean stopped after 2 trilogies then i can 100% get on board. The whole thing has been beaten to death. 1-6 were good enough and should have stopped there. It's now just a watered down money-grab with no soul. (There ends my screen rant)

Probably the absolute worst review that I've read. This is the problem nowadays and something star wars has fallen victim to. Everyone needs every backstory for every character. Why? It's completely fine for some interesting characters to have minor roles and only having subtle nods.

If you were to put 1000 Grogu toys beside 10 Rey toys in a store, the Grogu ones would sell out before the Rey ones. To state she is the most marketable character is comical.

OG fan here.. I loved the force awakens. I thought it was great and loved the idea of Rey and even a glimmer of possibility for Finn becoming Jedi. Then inner turmoil between multiple writers and changing directors happened and the next two train wrecks happened.

They took the possibility of a girl who came from nothing, becoming a strong force and giving girls everywhere who come from similar backgrounds something to ire and flipped the script.. "Oop nope sorry.. You have to come* from the most powerful force-using* family to actually amount to anything"

All while making Luke a miserable whiner and destroying any legacy that Anakin had for overcoming the emperor and become Anakin again after years of Darth Vader having imprisoned him. (Metaphorically) All in all, chalk the poor reception to their (Disneys) inability to keep a narrow focus and have good writers behind the table.
