See AllLet’s Be Honest, The 2025 Summer Box Office Winner Is Already Obvious
Think it was a given this would take the summer. Jurassic Movies always do well & there's a segment of the population that have zero interest in superheroes to the point they actively avoid them, yet they still like Jurassic movies. And everyone who DOES like superheroes ALSO likes Jurassic movies.
It's Time To it Thunderbolts* Should've Been Called The New Avengers From The Start
Hard disagree. It shoulda never been "changed" in the first place. It minimizes a word that brings thoughts of the most successful & beloved movies of the MCU. A year before the next true "AVENGERS" movie comes out, ya get something called "The New Avengers?" - Subconsciously it makes the real one seem less grand.
Superman Writer Explains Why Pa Kent Needs To Be Dead: "Heroes Are Defined By Tragedy"
Agree that hero stories are stronger when they rise from the ashes of tragedy.

Playing Vice City Convinced Me That GTA 6 Is Focused On The Wrong Thing
I think the real issue is how they now feel the need to blow everyone away so hard that it ends up with us waiting ridiculously long between installments.
Maybe they could give themselves some slack & release games outside the numbered entries just called "GTA Stories" or some such & it be like using the same engine & everything they already had & just making something new & fun. GTA3, VICE CITY, & SAN ANDREAS all basically used the same GTA3 engine & look how advanced San Andreas was in scope & scale both story & environment wise over GTA3. And only after 3yrs.
They put so much pressure on themselves nowadays. Sometimes I just want a new GTA-like pumped out UbiSoft style. Love them or hate them, Ubi's WORLDS are great, & they can make them in short order. It's like fast food. Sometimes ya just want a Big Mac. GTA doesn't always have to be prestige gaming. Wish there was more GTA clones like old Saints Row if Rockstar keeps insisting on these absurd dev cycles.
James Gunn Addresses Speculation That Lex Luthor Is President In Superman
Well that comment was definitely right about "turbo mode" though....
As much as he wants to skip origins, at least give some big flashbacks, people connect more with superheroes when they see backstory & the big turning points.... we don't even get Lois discovering her work buddy is actually Superman, that seems an insane iconic moment to not let audiences in on & just outright skip....
James Gunn's Superman Perfectly Nails The Clark Kent And Lois Lane Dynamic And I Couldn't Be More Thrilled
Ok, just fully disagree here. Not about how crucial their relationship is, totally agree she's the secret sauce to a successful superman story. But as far as the dynamic, it'd be fine if this was part 3 of this incarnation. The traditional & classic shenanigans of Clark hiding his identity from Lois as she fawns over superman, all the while having no clue that her lovable dorky sidekick at work is really him is part of the iconic lore that's being completely skipped here.... Gunn had a chance to do a take of that for modern audiences & just skipped it even though the unveiling moment of her learning he's superman is cinematic gold for evergreen audience enjoyment. The most recent take on the traditional Superman & Lois dynamic is literally the Tobey Maguire Spidey movies, lol..
THOSE do Lois & Clark more than this does. Now while I like the scene of them bickering & for all the reasons u said if it came later, to just start off by skipping all that fun tension & humor & those lovable shenanigans is a missed opportunity. Especially since Snyder had Lois know who he was too, the kids today will have no idea of all that stuff....
