Not really keen on any of these. FMA Brotherhood is decent. Otherwise this is a list of shows that try to be intelligent and interesting subject matter.

It's like the avante garde list of anime that are supposed to make you think. In reality though there either long winded, obvious, or so full of plot holes and nonsensical points you have to ignore to enjoy.

For a different genre the Matrix when you find out the reason at the end of the movie you realize any form of livestock, cows, goats, sheep, pigs would all be a better choice than humans. So if you actually think about it either the AI is stupid or the entire story makes no sense.
