After reading first the handmaid‘s Tale, and then watching the seasons as they went by, I was gob smacked at how many episodes or just absolute yawns! In season six as especially. Much of season six could have been left on the cutting room floor and they could’ve taken their time to tie some of these pieces of the story together if this is their so-called finale. The finale, certainly fell way way way below the anticipation and the expectation of every single person I have spoken to who has watched the series completely. It turned into a series about June and June, PERIOD. Once Elizabeth Moss took over in the role of executive producer and then director the show became all about her and so very little about all of the others.
I speak from not only myself, but I speak for many of my friends, who watched this entire series, hoping that some of these lingering threads would be tied together at some point. What a disappointment!!!!!
There were many more characters in this entire series other than Esther that were overlooked when it came time to film the final season. We are just left to imagine what happened to them. A very poor poor poor way to finish an epic story.
In conclusion, this is not the handmaid‘s tale. This is Elizabeth Moss‘s tale. And somehow someway she got the rest of the group of investors, producers, and etc., to go along with it. Do you not think for a moment that seeing Elizabeth Moss’s face again and again and again and again and again and again in almost every scene gets repetitive and again, and, boring?!??????
The name of the series should’ve more accurately been called, “ June. A handmaid tale.”
A group of my friends got together and had a watch party for season six. We saw the first three episodes that night and planned our next watch party for episode four. However, after episode four and episode five were so boring. We all decided it wasn’t even worth putting on lipstick let alone getting together for a night of good television. Pfffft, SMH
