I don't understand critics. Are they so high in their "ivory tower" they don't get it?

90% of viewers have never read the book (me included), so we don't care if the director took some liberties. Same with many movies or series that critics attacked because of this "liberties".

Nobody cares. We want a movie that is fun to watch, entertaining and doesn't give us a headache.

Better than that movie that got the Oscar... a movie nobody heard about, that cannot be viewed anywhere. But hey, that movie was voted by "critics", same "critics" that let Dune fade.
