I honestly believe the first AvP gets an unfair rap. Could it have been better? Sure, they all could have - even Arnie's instalment. But was AvP among the worst Predator movies ever? NO WAY!!

I'm 53, an avid movie watcher, & I LOVE animation - so what's that say about me? (& before you come back with some witty reuse of your last taunt - I have my own well-paying job, my own place, AND a university-level education!!) If you have nothing but diatribes & insults about everybody else, perhaps you should just stay quiet & scroll on to the next article!!

While I don't disagree with the idea overall, having the pilot parachute into a predator-infested jungle woulda been a bit too close to "Predators," & THAT woulda copped a lot more criticism, methinks.

As others have pointed out here, Rogue's resistance to telepathy has been long established, so I won't go into it. But Her "channeling" other powers also has a long history - at least back to about 2000-01: after absorbing Logan's powers one night (possibly in a sort-of sleep-walking moment), She struggles to maintain Her own form & personality, but with Logan's help (& the healing factor She's retained) She gets a semblance of control over some of the residual powers of mutants She'd previously absorbed that stayed with Her, & spends the next several issues switching between them - most notably becoming sort-of a second Wolverine during fights.
