I reckon it's Bodhi. There was all the stuff about him being in Xaden's shadow and in of not being given enough it turns out he is unable to counter venin signets, or at least not Theothanies. Considering the only enemy is venin now, it basically makes him signetless. By turning venin he might bridge that gap, and be effective against them as a counter
