Solo Leveling is all style and no substance. The fight scenes are where all the effort was put into, but the story, the characters, the world building, etc, it's all boring and uninspired. People really only like Solo Leveling for the fights. They like everything else too, but only because they've gaslit themselves into believing that the show as a whole is good. If you take away the fights where the protag turns the big bad into a shadow minion, it would have the same effect as taking Friends and editing out the laugh track.

The part that has me excited is that the creatures don't look like blatant rip offs of some pokemon, unlike palworld. You can tell Sean Young is putting actual effort into this because the designs are creative and unique.
