See AllThere Are Some DC Comics You Should Avoid, But These 8 Are the Worst
I have never understood the hate that Identity Crisis gets. I thought it was a compelling murder mystery with an antagonist I truly didn't expect. It also showed that even heroes are flawed, especially when it comes to their desire to protect those they love. Many say that it makes the heroes involved look like villians, I disagree. From reading it many times I would argue that it shows how the pure intentions of those striving to do good can have negative implications, and fleshed out, and huminised not only the characters involved but the shades of grey that make up the human condition, with Batman serving as the unrelenting moral com of the DC comic book universe. I would also suggest that it was pivotal in the lead up to the morality tale that was Infinate crisis and the perfect set up to the subsequently 52 story that followed.
