Severance
This shows first season was very entertaining. I would rate that an 8, but the second season so far apart form about half of it has been uneventful and rather boring. I have also noticed that this show this season has had a few stinker episodes that moved along at a snails pace in relation to not only the episode but also the main storyline.
This season the show as a whole presents as a short 100 page story that has been dragged out into filming with silence and facial reactions while the camera points at the actor(s) hoping to be found profound.
There is also a ton of scenery filmed and before you know it 3-5 mins has ed and there hasn’t been any dialogue. This last episode ( 8 I believe ) was the worst of season 2. We waited until the very end of the episode for it to be revealed that Kier’s designs for Severance weren’t his own. This is great, but could have been told and known to the office over a 5/10 minute dialogue between 2 characters.
It’s becoming evident that this show is going to move at a very slow place. Even as episode with information to share leaves you on a cliffhanger that isn’t visited or visited well enough in the episode that follows.
Severance’s story is an interesting one but the way this is being filmed despite several great episodes as a whole ( both season 1&2 ), it’s becoming very apparent the story arc has dips and lulls to the effect that it almost makes it difficult to watch.
And sure Ben Stiller has done some great things with the show but his tailor move is to throw some breadcrumbs down. Have you lap those up after you haven’t eaten for 6 weeks and then lead you to believe he’s got more for you, but in reality the more isn’t prolly coming until late 2026 and season 3.
This is sadly going to become a new way of telling a story or one that is praised more unfortunately as Severance is rated pretty high by critics and viewers alike.
My review is accurate and despite you agreeing with it or not, it’s irrelevant.

A Complete Unknown
Chalamet = Incredible. You could truly tell how hard he worked to honor Bob Dylan and I praise him for it.
A Complete Unknown = god awful.
whoever wrote this script somehow magically made the main character a co-star to the story. I mean it. Bob arrives in the village in the 60’s in NYC meets some heroes of his, one of the heroes gets him on stage at some folk club. He is liked nay loved immediately… I mean come on. He is a musical genius with a heart for the people playing folk music in the 60’s..
after this, the writer of this movie basically hits the fast forward button ( imagine seeing Bob becoming Bob but all the significant parts of him becoming Bob aren’t shown ) and the FF button is released at the most insignificant times in his life during the film. At one point Bob’s muse in the film actually asks him if he learned to make coffee and he says “ ah yeah”. Then FF again to another event of little importance, until we get to the third act of the film where Bob decides he wants diversify and play more rock style tunes. None of the coming together of the band he played with is mentioned, they just show up and play in a studio, moments later they are reluctantly introduced to the folk concert people who don’t like his electric brand of music, he is booed off the stage and the film essentially ends and up on the screen we read that the very songs he was booed off the stage for were part of a record that did very well and sold tons of copies. The end.
Again, Chalamet was gold in the role.. so imagine finding a piece of gold worth more than you’ll ever make on your life and then giving it to someone you absolutely hate that has taken advantage of you your whole life.
That is the what it feels like to watch the complete unknown. Where they make the main character completely unknown in the film.

See AllTerminator: Salvation Had Two Unused Endings That Would've Changed Everything
Out of everything made after rise of the machines ( which wasn’t that bad sans the female terminator ) was terminator salvation.
Robert Patrick should of been used as the protector in Rise as a different model
number , making Arnold the villain again.
this would of been another unexpected twist and would of been capitivating.
Outer Range Season 3: Cancelation & Everything We Know
I am officially done with streaming services like NETFLIX & AMAZON.
moving forward I will not watch one of their shows no matter how much hype it receives, no matter how much praise it gets from critics & fans.. nope.. my new vetting process will consist of how many seasons come out before I even entertain starting a show on these streaming services.
I only hope more people follow this train of thought when it comes to investing their time in a story that ends up getting canceled 1 or 2 seasons in for no reason whatsoever. This specific show “outer range” was fantastic.. entertaining and makes absolutely no sense in being canceled. It had great ratings, was hailed by critics and had a star studded cast.
Netflix has done similar things with shows like archive 81 to name one and there have been several others. The lists of cancellations with these streaming giants keeps piling up and it’s starting to truly get frustrating.
again, others need to adopt this practice so we can push these indecisive companies out on their asses and bring some companies I. That believe in following a story until the very end.
Spider-Man 4's Title Announcement Means The MCU’s Kraven Debut Is Way More Likely Than You Might Think After The 2024 Sony Movie’s Failure
I totally agree, the lack of Spider-Man in Sony’s Spider-Man universe villain or anti-hero films was super lame. IF SONY WAS SMART, which they’re not at all, they could of flopped the spectrum and made Spider-Man the villain… did something different… and what I mean by that is, sure introduce all of the anti-heroes… let them have their origin movies but at the me of each of their films make known that Spider-Man is watching them and following them in some capacity, then bring all the anti-heroes together to face Spider-Man… use another Spider-Man… like miles morales or something… but tie them to a Spider-Man nonetheless..
I bet they wanted to do that but the mcu said no because that’s their plan once Tom holland is done..at least I have to hope that’s true because one thing is for certain. I believe in my heart that any spidey fan of just about any age could have made better films than Sony has put out in ref. To spidey villains… I mean damn did those films suck. All except for Tom Hardy and venom.. and part of that is venom is the most popular Spider-Man villain because he is in essence bizzarro Spidey… and part of it is because Hardy is such a great actor.
Spider-Man 4: Why Tobey Maguire & Andrew Garfield Shouldn’t Return in the Sequel
I agree. Feige is good at producing and bringing together all characters, he isn’t a writer or director or creator of any kind.
again, if legacy characters are not brought back in spider-man Brand New Day, ( and at this point ai am thinking they won’t be in a regular fashion with tons of screen time ) spider-man 4 is going to suffer “ the children” as gobby put it in the Raimi-verse.
I want to be wrong, but I’m not..
when phase 6 ends, so does about 20/30% of the interest in comic book related movies because they keep getting made and remade and this version of Spider-Man with Tom Holland is just the latest attempt at getting into it all.
Tom Holland and this version of Spidey is great.. he does a fantastic job.. but again, those of us that grew up on the comics and maguire and eventually Garfield, we love all 3 characters together..
Sony is so freaking stupid for not bringing back Maguire for his fourth film and Garfield for his third.. instead making all these anti-hero villain films..
on my reason it worked with venom is because Tom hardy is a great actor.. otherwise please… poor attempt at exploring the universe..
Why Does Drummond Have A Problem With Milchik's Complex Vocabulary? Severance Star Has One Possible Theory
Because the show is turning to more weird than story to help retain its audience.
severance, a show that started out with so much to offer and so many directions to go in has tried to keep recapturing that thing season one had. Mystery.
All those who praise this show , I’ll give you one thing, it is usually directed very well, and the camera usually captures some great shots. But the dialogue… ugh.
I can’t follow the story this season. I could up until a point but now things are just so deliberately mysterious that they make no sense.
the last time we saw John Torturro’s character he was having dinner with Walken’s character and spouse. Now on episode 9 he is being randomly dragged in a car ride presumably to his death?
what? What am I missing? I don’t have severance, I live in the real world, or do I and my innie watched the reasoning behind this development?
Spider-Man 4: Why Tobey Maguire & Andrew Garfield Shouldn’t Return in the Sequel
You’re wrong. The multiverse is the only thing bringing in big bucks. It would be a mistake to not include them. Marvel studios is going to be let down when phase 6 ends. Legacy characters like Garfield and Tobey being included pulls from a bigger fan base and it’s nostalgic. This is why NO WAY HOME was such a success. If they don’t include them in the next film and keep including them in every Spider-Man adventure until secret wars or at least tease them, the spider-man franchise is going to be a rude awakening in the money department. Think I’m wrong? Time will be the tell. But I know I’m not wrong because I can see the future.
