While I'm sure there are plenty of fans of the books who were willing to accept this "different turning of the wheel," I'm of the opinion that this was doomed from the start when they made a first season that had very little in common with the book series.

This is my favorite series of all-time and I'd waited so long to see a live adaptation of something I love and sadly that was not what I got. They could not have found a better way to make sure the people who should have loved this series the most would never watch again.

Good riddance. I'm going to hope for an animated version next. Maybe Harriet and Sanderson can put something together with smarter people than the clowns at Amazon who thought they knew better than Robert Jordan.
