The WoT fan base pretty well unanimously hated Rafes abomination of a WoT show. It should have never even been allowed to start filming and prime should have pulled the plug the second Sanderson refused to sign his name to it because it was hot garbage.

How dare people not like changing everything about a franchise and needless race swapping in one of the most diverse stories ever written 🙄

The WoT includes pretty every race and sexuality in about every combination you can think of. There's literally 0 actual reason to race swap anyone, rafe was just doing it out of spite because his ego is so big he thinks he can write a better story than RJ

The irony that we have a whole island of people IRL that traditionally look as the Aiel are described in the book is wild. The Aiel should have been the easiest casting in the show

I believe Sanderson has gotten offers on The stormlight archives but I doubt he would ever let anyone destroy the story like Rafe did with WoT. Sanderson loves his work and should have been involved with this WoT telling but the studio avoided him I think for that very reason

I don't think from will get cancelled simply because it's a pretty cheap show to produce I believe. It's not explosively popular but the price is right and that's all Amazon really cares about

This honestly is probably the way. The only way they'd really be able to do a live action realistically is if they were filming 365 days a year steady from the begining of the books until the end. No time for finishing, no time for releasing a season and seeing how it does. It would be such a crazy undertaking to do it right that it will likely never happen in live action properly, the financial commitment is just to big and to uncertain for the investors you would need to do it
