Rickman was perfect. In the first five books there is no ambiguity about Snape's dislike for Potter, nor his general nastiness as head of Slytherin house.

And then you read the penultimate book, and learn why he disliked James, and therefore Harry. There is a background for his general nastiness...

And in the final book you learn something else that makes you reexamine everything you believed...

Good luck to the new guy. He has HUGE boots to fill. If he's not unlikeable for the first five seasons though, he's failed.

Personally my only gripe was Gimli being the movie's comic relief.

That moment in TTTowers when he's complaining while running with Aragorn and Legolas is an absolute betrayal of how unbelievably resilient the Dwarves were in Tolkien's world. He would have run for days and nights without rest and still would have been ready to fight a battle...

No one that takes a child away from their parents to "educate" them is ever a good guy. The Jedi were pure evil in that way.

Lucas even had to invent a blood test so that they looked less like a pair of childnapping pervs on the prowl in Ep 1.

If they make an Ep 10 it should be about parents rejecting Rey's attempts to take away their children, while the Sith Spirit seeks a new host so it can live on.

Then balance could finally be brought to the force, between all three of its sides...

The fans wanted to see their old heroes again. That's not nostalgia, but wanting to see the contuation of the Skywalker story, as promised by Lucas. But K.K and Ryan J. decided to take a big doodoo all over Luke after a generally well received first film. Yes it repeated the first film in many ways, to its detriment, but Han got a great send off.

A lack of any idea how to finsh the trilogy aftet Johnson's "surprises", led to Palp's return. Ep 9 had no Skywalkers in it.

They can try to make a new movie. I've got a few great ideas how to do it, myself, but this may well be the first Star Wars movie, since '77, that I skip in the cinema. Rey, Poe, Finn, BB88 etc have no draw...

Personally I liked the Boba show. It was different, almost spiritual, and showed his accumulated reputation very well.

But then it had two episodes of Mando, and never found its way back for a satisfying ending.

Those two eps should have been Cad Bane stuff. Potentially even hunting a broken Mace would have been amazing. But no...

This is a universe where most planets only have one major settlement on them, at best.

Ours is a highly populated world in a state of tense peace. They live in a galaxy free from war for a milenia. Planets themselves have no internal conflict.
