Pokémon Scarlet and Violet allows players to obtain Technical Machines, or TMs, by creating them. Previously, players could receive TMs from NPCs or by purchasing them. With the addition of dropped crafting materials in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, players can learn and create their own TMs to use or sell.

Players looking to create their own TMs in Scarlet and Violet to power up their team with new moves will need to head to one of the Pokémon Centers located throughout Paldea. Each Scarlet and Violet contains three stations; the green station being the TM Machine. Creating a TM requires three things: recipes, League Points, and materials. Each of these items can be obtained in different ways.
