Game Freak has rolled out the final update for Scarlet and Violet Gimmighoul Pokémon GO crossover announcement in November, Nintendo released one last trailer that revealed many details about Gen 9's launch plans. The final update confirmed when players can expect Scarlet and Violet's Pokémon HOME connectivity to go live.
When Scarlet and Violet were first announced in February, there was little information about how the new generation would work with Pokémon HOME. Players were only given a brief tease with a screenshot of Pokémon Legends: Arceus' Hisuian Zoroark engaged in a battle in Paldea. The first concrete details about the cloud service app finally appeared in October, when a major Pokémon Scarlet and Violet leak revealed Pokémon that will be transferrable when HOME launches. On November 8 however, Game Freak confirmed details about the feature and announced that Scarlet and Violet Pokémon HOME connectivity would launch next year.
Pokémon Scarlet and Violet Pokémon HOME Launches In 2023
After the final Gen 9 trailer went live, The Pokémon Company made a blog post confirming that Pokémon Scarlet and Violet's Pokémon HOME release date is slotted for Spring 2023. Because no specific date was given, players can expect the service to go live in either March, April, or May. Game Freak revealed that the app will launch with Trainer rankings, a list of most used Pokémon, and online competitive stats. The service will also rank which Abilities, and Held Item's are being used the most in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet's Paldea Region.
Confirmed Scarlet & Violet Pokémon HOME Transfers
The first Pokémon HOME transferrable Pokémon were confirmed for Scarlet and Violet, and they are a mix of Kanto and Pokémon Legends: Arceus Hisuian Pokémon. However, Game Freak stated that not every Pokémon in the cloud service app will be allowed to be moved over to the Paldea Region games. This isn't too surprising, as Pokémon Sword and Shield had a similar limit. Gen 8 would end up having roughly 234 Pokémon there were not available, as Pokémon HOME only added around 35 additional characters to the Galar region. If Paldea gets expanded content similar to the Pokémon Sword and Shield Crown Tundra DLC, its Pokémon roster could end up being expanded greatly. Below is a list of every Pokémon HOME transfer that Nintendo has confirmed for Scarlet and Violet so far:

Trainers won't know which Pokémon HOME characters are restricted to Scarlet and Violet until next year, although they will be able to transfer every Gen 9 Pokémon into the service after it launches. Once the app is live, players will be able to access the service for $2.99 a month or $15.99 for the entire year on the Nintendo eShop. According to a credible Scarlet and Violet Pokémon HOME leak, there will be roughly 43 new Pokémon that can be transferred to Paldea during the apps launch. The roster will be a mix of Legendary and Mythical Pokémon from various regions, as well as every Hisuian Form from the Pokémon Legends: Arceus game.
