As announced for Pokémon Day 2025, Pokémon Scarlet and Violet will be receiving a slew of events scheduled for February and March, which will allow players to catch some rare or exclusive Pokémon. With no announcement of a new generation, and Pokémon Legends: Z-A slated for late 2025, Scarlet and Violet remain the most recent mainline titles in the franchise, and even after the release of the game's DLC, they have continued to receive new online events for active players.

Events in Scarlet and Violet come in two main forms — Tera Raid Battles and Mass Outbreaks. Tera Raid Battle events, which pit four players against one buffed Tera Pokémon, usually give you the chance to catch exclusive Pokémon, like the otherwise unobtainable Paradox Pokémon Walking Wake and Iron Leaves. Mass Outbreak events, on the other hand, take place in the overworld of Paldea, causing a high number of Pokémon to spawn in a certain area of the map, usually with a unifying theme like type, color, or species.

Four Events Are Coming To Pokémon Scarlet & Violet In February And March

In celebration of Pokémon Day 2025, Scarlet and Violet will be receiving a Mass Outbreak event and three Tera Raid Battle events, running from February 28 to March 20. The first event, which will be active throughout the entire event period, will feature a Mass Outbreak of red-, blue-, and green-colored Pokémon, with example images showing the likes of Palafin, Charcadet, and Smoliv. Like all Mass Outbreaks, this event will also feature an increased chance for players to find shiny Pokémon.

Alongside the Mass Outbreak, three Tera Raid Battle events will be running in staggered periods — one for each of the fully-evolved Paldean starter Pokémon. Each will also come with the event-exclusive Mightiest Mark. You can only catch each of the three Pokémon once per save file.

Notably, a Mighty Dragonite has already been featured in a past Tera Raid Battle event, explaining its exclusion, and Hisuian Goodra has likely been excluded for being a regional variant of a Pokémon already in the planned lineup. Currently, no schedule has been provided for these events, but they're likely to start not long after the conclusion of the Pokémon Day events for Pokémon Scarlet and Violet on March 20.
