With filming on Peacemaker season 2 currently underway, THR has revealed two new cast ing the Max series. Coming on board as main players are Sol Rodriguez as DC's Sasha Bordeaux and David Denman in a secret role. It is currently unknown when they will respectively show up in Peacemaker season 2.

Rodriguez's Character Has Ties To Batman

While time will tell how they fit into the Peacemaker cast, the addition of Sasha in the DC Universe is an interesting one. Created by Greg Rucka and Shawn Martinbrough in December 2000, Sasha was initially a bodyguard for Bruce Wayne before finding out that he is Batman. Since they worked together in the comics, it wouldn't be shocking if Sasha filled a similar role to Peacemaker, as it is highly unlikely that Batman will appear in the new season.

Even though no details have been revealed about Denman's character in Peacemaker season 2, there is a chance that he could be tied to Sasha. One of the other connections that Sasha shares in DC lore is working for Checkmate, one of Amanda Waller's organizations, which could finally make its way into Gunn's DC Universe. Given that they are keeping Denman's character a secret, he will likely have a huge role to fill in Peacemaker season 2.

Since it has been confirmed that season 2 will take place after the events of Gunn's Superman movie, it will be interesting to see how much of that film's plot is reflected through the Max show. With other DC Universe characters like Frank Grillo's Rick Flag. Sr. confirmed to appear in live-action after his animated debut in Creature Commandos, Peacemaker season 2 is looking more intriguing as new updates emerge.
