It looks like another game has been hit with delays due to the ongoing pandemic crisis, as it’s been announced that The Game Awards 2019 late last year.

No More Heroes 3 takes place nine years after the events of No More Heroes 2 and will return to the third-person action gameplay of that game rather than the top-down hack-and-slash gameplay of last year’s reviewed positively by Screen Rant when it was released early last year. The delay was announced by developer Grasshopper Manufacture’s founder and CEO Goichi Suda, who is also known by his pseudonym Suda51, via his Twitter . In his message, which was presented in both English and Japanese, Suda shared that while the staff of Grasshopper Manufacture have been working hard to continue the game’s development, the current pandemic crisis has caused delays in the title's development schedule. As such, the developer has decided to focus on maintaining the quality it wants for No More Heroes 3 and consequently delay its release to sometime in 2021.

Suda expressed his studio’s apologies and hopes that fans will be able to understand and accept its decision. But in spite of the delay announcement, Suda also shared a bit of good news as he announced that famed comic book artist Darick Robertson, the co-creator of currently running live-action series), has ed the No More Heroes 3 team and will be providing original illustrations for the game. Suda adds that his team plans to share some of Robertson’s original illustrations for No More Heroes 3, including the game’s official key art, along with more news and announcements in the future.

The addition of Darick Robertson to the No More Heroes 3 team is definitely a boon for the game and it will be exciting to see what type of art he comes up with for Travis Touchdown's latest romp. Hopefully, Suda51 and the team at Grasshopper Manufacture continue to release regular updates on the No More Heroes 3 to help fans cope with its delay and help add to what fans can expect from the latest entry in the franchise.
