A brand-new sci-fi fantasy series from Cyberpunk 2077 a witchcraft spin.

Image Comics has been on a roll with new original comics this year. From horror anthologies to fantasy, the independent comic producer has showcased a variety of genre-spanning stories for fans to enjoy. Some of the most notable new additions have included the anthology series Afterschool, a new take on battle royales with Golden Rage, and their latest on-going horror fantasy series Slumber which has taken readers on a fantastical adventure through a new dream world. A new series from the company is about to debut before 2022 ends, and it's giving some witchy flair to a popular video game.

Hexware is a new series by Tim Seeley and Zulema Scotto Lavina that will bring the world of witches to sci-fi dystopia. Image details that it will focus on an android named Which-Where as she tries to appease the Marks family, for whom she works as a maid for. When the Marks' eldest daughter is killed and Which-Where senses despair among the family, she takes a witch hat she found in the street as a sign of how she can bring the girl back. In order to do this though, she'll need to have a chat with the Devil. A series of previews show the dark and dystopian universe being created for this new story, and the artwork by Lavina is absolutely astounding. Take a look at what's to come in Hexware #1 here.

The talent on display for this new series is certainly something to behold. DC Comics and Red Sonja artist Zulema Scotto Lavina, for bringing the story to life with their gorgeous artwork. They describe the setting of the new series as "a fascinating sci-fi world--soaked with just the right amount of witchcraft vibes," and it shows in the preview artwork.

Hexware looks like it will be another major hit for Image based on the first looks on display. Lavina's art is a brilliant blend of dystopian sci-fi and creepy dark magic tones, giving the comic an unmistakable look that sets it apart from other witchcraft stories. Pair it with the attention-grabbing premise, and it's a can't-miss story that comics reader must pick up when it releases on December 7th. Image Comics has been on a roll with its new stories that have changed fan interactions in comics, and this Cyberpunk 2077 and witchcraft-inspired story, Hexware, will certainly be a great way to close out one of the company's best years to date.
