When people recall iconic MTV shows, Best known for its reality TV shows, MTV was often the home of the rich and famous. The original early 2000s run of Cribs gave fans an exclusive look into celebrities' homes, which was huge at the time considering social media was yet to take over the world. The 2021 reboot of the show has featured contemporary celebrities like JoJo Siwa and Snooki, continuing viewers' fascination with the lives of the wealthy and notable.

The original Cribs made fans feel connected to their favorite celebrities, all while inspiring them with the idea that they too could one day own a twenty-bed megamansion. While all of the famous houses shown on the series were impressive, some stuck out to fans overall, whether it be the outrageous prices or the unique assets.

Lil Wayne

One of the most memorable Cribs episodes to date features Lil' Wayne's unique New Orleans mansion. Being one of the most popular rappers of the 2000s, it was clear Wayne had to make a big impression, and he surely did.

Not only did Wayne have a jacuzzi in the living room, but there was no other surrounding furniture, as the rapper purposefully wanted to have the room be a relaxation space to unwind. Additionally, the rapper had multiple amenities that surely made an impression, including an indoor pool with built-in bass with the purpose to shake the place, similar to what happens when music is played in the car.

Mariah Carey

Mariah's episode of Cribs made an impression for a number of reasons, including her multiple outfit changes and off-limit rooms, one of which included Marilyn Monroe's piano. However, the things she did show made up for the things she didn't.

Her New York City penthouse was irable, to say the least, especially with her classy neutral colors that are still on-trend today. The timeless city apartment had five bathrooms and three bedrooms, all decorated in high-class fashion, just like Carey.

Destiny’s Child

With songs ranging from the radio to even movies and television, Beyoncé has made a massive career for herself, but it all started with Destiny's Child. A big reason Destiny's Child's episode of Cribs was so memorable was the adorable fact that they shared a mansion together, with the addition of Beyoncé's mom and sister, Solange.

Besides Bey's colorful and iconic bedroom, one aspect of the house that was a fan favorite was the giant living room window overlooking their pool and the on-site lake. Most of all, viewers appreciated the humbleness all three women carried throughout the episode, which is hard to do on a show where the sole goal is to flex.

Tony Hawk

Allstar skateboarder Tony Hawk had one of the most memorable episodes of Cribs, largely due to his massive personal skatepark in the backyard. While having such an iconic backyard was every kid's dream back in the day, realistically the closest most can get is by playing Tony's skateboard simulator video games.

With his mansion maintaining a balance of sophistication and fun, Tony's lovely abode had something to offer to suit everyone's taste. His episode taught fans that while tastes can change and they can mature, they don't have to grow up or give up on their dreams.

Russell Simmons

If fans weren't aware of the record producer's status before his episode of Cribs, they surely do now. The episode had Simmons detail his New Jersey home with unique self-care amenities that would make anyone swoon.

Along with a custom gym the size of a Planet Fitness, the mansion also includes a sauna and a large indoor pool. It's abundantly clear that the Def Jams Records co-founder had great success and manifested that hard work into a beautiful, yet classy home.

Wayne Newton

When it comes to unique Las Vegas homes, singer Wayne Newton takes the cake. From the pricey crystal banisters showcased first thing in his home's entrance to his own personal helicopter, it's no question that Newton isn't struggling for money.

In addition to the typical, yet impressive, material items Newton possesses, he also seemed to have quite the soft spot for animals. In fact, he not only had his own zoo equipped with dozens of Arabian horses and penguins, but he had an equestrian pool built for the horses.

The Playboy Mansion

Regardless of what people may think of the late Hugh Hefner, the Playboy Mansion is undoubtedly shockingly beautiful. Between the 1959 convertible and luxury pool, it's no question that Hefner was rolling in the dough.

Several other amenities that viewers were surprised to see were the zoo, game room, and personal gym equipt with tanning beds for the Playboy Bunnies. All in all, the episode was iconic, and the behind-the-scenes look fans were given was pretty cool to see.

Aaron Carter

Though the now-controversial Aaron Carter is a questionable character, his Flordia Keys residence was very impressive, especially for a 16-year-old at the time.

Equipped with 13 bedrooms and 15 bathrooms, the 17-acre-wide property had fans confused, yet impressed. While they weren't sure why a teenager needed that much space all to himself, they couldn't help but give the teen singer his accolades.

50 Cent

Before 50 Cent was a highly meme-able rapper, he was an artist that was not shy in the least bit to show off his money. Between the multiple Ferrari sports cars and the fact that it was Mike Tyson's former abode, the rapper was pretty thrilled to show off all his belongings.

With the house having 19 bedrooms and 35 bathrooms, fans got the impression that 50 had life made in the shade, however, that turned out to not be the case later on. While the Hip-Hop artist reached peak success in the early 2000s, he went on to file for bankruptcy later on and shockingly came out to say he actually rented several of the Ferraris he showed off on Cribs as his own (per Business Insider).

Richard Branson

Being the most expensive house ever to feature on MTV Cribs, the Virgin Group founder surely impressed viewers everywhere. The fact that he was able to purchase his own private island and have his property along with two guesthouses had fans' jaws on the floor.

With his residence overlooking the ocean, it also made for the perfect vacation spot. Another memorable part of the episode was Mariah Carey's appearance, as she was staying in one of the guesthouses on a vacation at the time.
