Not every Marvel TV show will exist within the continuity of the established MCU’s Earth-616 story, such as the animated What If…? season 2, its new spinoff Marvel Zombies, and Spider-Man: Freshman Year tackling the multiverse. Additionally, one of the most highly anticipated series is bringing back the iconic Marvel hero Daredevil, who made his MCU debut in Spider-Man: No Way Home before appearing in She-Hulk. Many of the exciting shows are also seeing the returns of major MCU figures like Loki, War Machine, and an older Nick Fury. Here’s a breakdown of the 11 Marvel TV shows releasing after She-Hulk.
Secret Invasion - Early 2023
One of Marvel’s shows that has received some of the most excitement is Emilia Clarke in an undisclosed role. The six-episode series is set to debut in early 2023 on Disney+.
What If…? Season 2 - Early 2023
Alongside Loki, Disney renewed Marvel TV show What If…? for a second season. The animated series features a new story in each episode, which re-imagine famous events from the MCU films in alternate timelines. In the nine-episode What If…? season 2, iconic Marvel heroes and villains from the multiverse will be featured in new and unexpected twists on familiar stories. The show is scheduled to premiere in early 2023, but no official release date has been confirmed.
Echo - Summer 2023
The Marvel TV Show Echo/Maya Lopez, a deaf Native American who formerly commanded the criminal Tracksuit Mafia and has the ability to perfectly copy another person’s movements. The TV series explores Echo returning to her hometown as she reconnects with her roots, confronts her past, and embraces her community. Echo’s cast and characters will also feature Zahn McClarnon as William Lopez, Vincent D’Onofrio as Kingpin, and Charlie Cox as Daredevil. The show will premiere in summer 2023 as part of the MCU Phase 5.
Loki Season 2 - Summer 2023
Following the success of Loki will return in season 2.” So far, Disney has revealed that Loki season 2 will pick up where season 1 left off, with Loki returning to a new version of the TVA in which Agent Mobius and Hunter B-15 don’t know him. The returning cast includes Tom Hiddleston, Owen Wilson, Eugene Cordero, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Tara Strong, Wunmi Mosaku, and Sophia Di Martino. There’s been no confirmation about whether Jonathan Majors will reprise his role as He Who Remains in Loki season 2, but his return seems likely due to the actor’s presence in Ant-Man 3. Loki season 2 has been scheduled for a summer 2023 release date.
X-Men ‘97 - Fall 2023
Disney+ is X-Men ‘97 continues the plot of the original series, and brings back the majority of the surviving original cast . The new Marvel TV show is slated for a 2023 release date.
Ironheart - Fall 2023
Another new Marvel Cinematic Universe TV series debuting after She-Hulk is Ironheart's debut in Black Panther 2, with her ally Parker Robbins being portrayed by Anthony Ramos. Jim Rash is also set to reprise his role from Captain America: Civil War as the Dean of MIT. The six-episode TV show is scheduled to be released in late 2023.
Agatha: Coven Of Chaos - Winter 2023
Agatha: Coven of Chaos is a direct spinoff of the 2021 Disney+ series WandaVision. After Wanda destroyed the Hex, freed Westview from Agatha’s control, trapped her in the “Agnes” persona, and prevented Agatha from performing magic in WandaVision’s ending, the villainous witch is back for her own dark comedy series. Kathryn Hahn will be reprising her role as Agatha Harkness, with the self-titled series revealing more about her past and use of dark magic. Also returning from WandaVision is Emma Caulfield Ford, who played the Westview citizen Sarah Proctor. Agatha: Coven of Chaos is scheduled to premiere in winter 2023 as part of the MCU Phase 5.
Spider-Man: Freshman Year - 2024
The animated series follows Peter Parker in his freshman year of high school before becoming the Spider-Man seen in the MCU. Spider-Man: Freshman Year is reportedly set in the MCU due to developments in the multiverse, but it doesn’t take place on Earth-616. Tom Holland will not be voicing Peter Parker in the animated Marvel show, yet no voice actor has been confirmed for the role. As part of Phase 5, Spider-Man: Freshman Year is set to debut on Disney+ in 2024. Marvel already has season 2 in development, which is aptly titled Spider-Man: Sophomore Year.
Daredevil: Born Again - Spring 2024
Alongside Netflix’s Marvel projects moving to Disney, the debut of Charlie Cox as Daredevil: Born Again won’t be a continuation of the original Netflix series, and will see a somewhat different take on the fan-favorite character. The MCU’s Daredevil has now appeared in Spider-Man: No Way Home and She-Hulk, which increases the anticipation for his own series. Daredevil: Born Again is set to hit Disney+ in spring 2024.
Marvel Zombies - TBA
Hawkeye's Kate Bishop, and Jimmy Woo will be the ones battling the flesh-eating undead. The plot of Marvel Zombies has largely been kept under wraps, and although there’s no official release date, it’s expected to premiere in 2024.
Untitled Wakanda TV Series - TBA
It was announced in 2021 that Black Panther director Ryan Coogler was developing a Disney+ series based on the kingdom of Wakanda. Since Black Panther: Wakanda Forever premieres in November, which is Marvel’s next big release after She-Hulk.
