Season 2 of Marvel Rivals comes with tons of new content, including the "Cerebro Database" event that offers you a free skin for Mantis. This four-part event currently has one page active, allowing you to earn currency for completing objectives while playing matches. As more sections unlock, you can gain even more rewards before the event ultimately expires.

Cerebro Database is similar to other small, limited-time events in past Seasons, such as Galacta's Cosmic Adventure or the ongoing Pick-Up Bundle in Marvel Rivals. This event lasts from April 11 until May 9, 2025, at which point the available rewards being offered will disappear. To avoid spending real-world money, you can participate in this event to gain new cosmetics and lots of in-game currency.

What Is The Cerebro Database Event?

Explore New Content From The Introduction Of Krakoa

Marvel Rivals Cerebro Database event with Emma Frost page unlocked

The Cerebro Database event is the inaugural event of Season 2, encouraging players to explore the new content within the new age of the Hellfire Gala on Krakoa. Throughout the event, you will unlock pages exploring specific mutant characters and learning more about them. With Cerebro, a device used by psychic mutants to amplify their mental abilities, you'll investigate the profiles of other important characters.

The challenges available in the Cerebro Database event revolve around the living island of Krakoa, which now has three maps through a Domination match type. Completing matches and meeting objectives on the Krakoa: Hellfire Gala map will help you earn rewards. In addition, playing as the new Vanguard character Emma Frost in Marvel Rivals will also earn you some rare items.

There are four Cerebro profile pages in the Database event you can explore. One is tied to the new character Emma Frost, while the others relate to Wolverine, Namor, and Black Panther. Objectives may revolve around those additional characters soon.

Each page in the Cerebro Database unlocks naturally as the event continues, so don't worry about meeting prerequisites to access other character profiles. There are nine different missions available on each character page, with rewards listed as well. The missions are organized into a 3x3 grid, where you can complete them to form a row, column, or line to clear challenges.

How To Complete The Cerebro Database Event

Finish Missions Tied To Specific Characters

To complete the Cerebro Database event, you only need to finish all the missions on every character's profile page. Since there are 9 missions per character, you have to complete 36 different objectives tied to goals on a character's profile. For example, Emma Frost's page has an objective where you have to read her Lore, which you can complete by investigating the character in the "Heroes" menu.

To give you a good idea of what missions on a character's profile page look like, here are all the current challenges you can complete on Emma Frost's page:

  1. Defeat 60 Enemies in Quick Match, Competitive, or Practice vs. AI.
  2. View Challenge 1 during the event period.
  3. Complete 5 matches in Quick Match, Competitive, or Practice vs. AI.
  4. Deal 10,000 Damage as Emma Frost in Quick Match, Competitive, or Practice vs. AI.
  5. Take 20,000 Damage as Emma Frost in Quick Match, Competitive, or Practice vs. AI.
  6. Read Emma Frost Lore: Forged in Hellfire.
  7. Secure 40 Assists in Quick Match, Competitive, or Practice vs. AI.
  8. Win 1 match on the Krakoa: Hellfire Gala map.
  9. Stun 10 enemies with Psionic Seduction as Emma Frost in Quick Match, Competitive, or Practice vs. AI.

With the character changes in Marvel Rivals Season 2, these goals should be simple to complete throughout a few matches. As you can see, Emma Frost's page encourages you to play as the character to finish her Cerebro missions. As other pages unlock, other characters themed around specific pages will likely need to be played to complete lines, rows, or columns of their profile.

If you are having trouble viewing the Mission challenges on a Cerebro Database profile page, you can also go to the "Missions" menu from the "Season" tab. The Missions will be the second tab from the bottom, with the larger menu between the "Battle" and "Event" sections.

Thankfully, you don't have to complete every mission to finish the event based on the way it is organized. You only have to get three rows, lines, or columns filled out in whichever order works best for the goals you are trying to achieve. Getting three connections on a page will unlock one of three available rewards, with the final gift completing the profile.

Rewards From The Cerebro Database Event

Gain New Cosmetics And Different Currency Types

Marvel Rivals Impending Doom Gallery Card from Cerebro Database event

Each page of the Cerebro Database event offers different rewards, but completing every character profile awards you with the Flora Maiden Mantis skin. Alongside the new Season 2 Battle skins, this cosmetic is a rare look for Mantis you can only get for a limited time.

Here are some of the other rewards you can expect to get from finishing Missions on a character's Cerebro profile page:

  • Chrono Tokens (Purple Currency)
  • Gallery Cards
  • Units (Blue Currency)
  • Sprays

The Gallery Cards from the Database event provide crucial context for the Season 2 story and Ultron's invasion of Krakoa. On the other hand, Chrono Tokens can be used to help you purchase rewards from the Battle , earning you even more cosmetics for your favorite characters. Units may help you buy the itself or a skin you have wanted for a character for a long time.

With Season 2 changes, Chrono Tokens are far easier to earn from Daily and Weekly objectives, which are less restrictive to playing as specific characters or roles. However, this currency is harder to earn as often as before, so getting some from the Cerebro Database can be useful.

The rare cosmetics from this event will likely not become available for some time after it concludes, especially as new events start. While completing character profiles may take time, the rewards from the Cerebro Database event in Marvel Rivals are worth the effort at least for the unique Mantis skin alone.
