In Defenders Beyond #5 by Marvel Comics, Galactus' mother, Taaia, is told she is forbidden from returning to her timeline, as it would have a devastating effect as she now has the knowledge of what her son would become. As a result, Taaia finds a new role in the universe.
Galactus' mother Taaia has been an important member of the current Defenders, as she ed the timeline-traveling superteam after being plucked from the Sixth Cosmos. Throughout her journey across the different Cosmos, Taaia has been given the powers of the Phoenix while also learning the truth about what her son would become in Marvel's future as the Devourer of Worlds. Now, after meeting Marvel's version of god, the One Above All, Galactus' mother was forbidden from returning to her timeline, as it would cause major damage to the Multiverse in the past, present, and future.
In Defenders Beyond #5 by Al Ewing and Javier Rodriguez from Marvel Comics, the heroes enter the House of Ideas and come face-to-face with the creator of the Marvel Universe, the One Above All. After getting a chance to ask god questions, Taaia asks about Galactus. The One Above All, who explains he represents the place between action (comics) and creation (reality), tells her that while Galactus is above his design, she cannot return to the Fourth Cosmos with the knowledge of his future. He even apologizes for not allowing to come back her timeline.
The One Above All Refuses To Allow Galactus' Mother To Return Home
As a result of the One Above All's ruling that Taaia wasn't allowed to return home, she ends up staying with Blue Marvel and awaiting the next cosmic emergency that requires the Defenders help. She its she can't escape the knowledge of her son Galactus' dark fate and still might meet him in the future - but until that day, she will work for the new Cosmos as its defender.
Thankfully, Taaia listened to Marvel's version of god and will not return home with her knowledge of what her son will become. However, the One Above All's warning doesn't necessarily mean Taaia won't encounter Galactus in the future, setting the stage for one of the most unexpected meetings between family from different realities the Marvel Universe has ever seen.
