Disney cut Luisa's secret room from Luisa Madrigal (Jessica Darrow) has super strength, allowing her to move buildings, hold pianos, and even carry donkeys. Unfortunately, not all of the family get powers, though. During her childhood ceremony, Mirabel Madrigal (Stephanie Beatriz), Luisa's sister, doesn't receive a unique ability. While tragic, the magical snub gives Mirabel the drive to make her family proud and figure out why the house is falling apart.

In addition to powers, the Madrigals get custom magical rooms. Encanto doesn't reveal all the Madrigal rooms, but the characters' bedrooms are all inspired by their abilities. For instance, Antonio (Ravi Cabot-Conyers) can communicate with animals, understanding them and telling them what to do. So his magical room in Casita is a jungle full of several places for animals to roam and thrive. Additionally, Isabela (Diane Guerrero) can create plants, so her room is naturally full of plant life.

Luisa's secret room didn't make the final cut of Encanto, and there may be a reason. One of Encanto's most popular songs is "Surface Pressure," where Luisa sings about her struggles with carrying the family's burdens. But Luisa almost had an escape from those burdens after all. In Disney's Art of Encanto, the filmmakers revealed Luisa's potential bedroom details. Production Designer Ian Gooding said Luisa's room was almost dull and made of stone to show she was responsible. However, Gooding added, "She also had a secret exit to a hidden room that nobody knew about, with a theme park where she could just have fun like a little kid." And that is a problem for Encanto's "Surface Pressure." If Luisa did have an escape, it might have taken some of the meaning out of the song.

Luisa's whole story is that she overdoes it. In "Surface Pressure," Luisa sings that the family's burdens bring pressure that will "never stop." From moving buildings to wrangling donkeys, she's constantly doing things for others, and the stress takes its toll. If Luisa had a secret room where she could escape, "Surface Pressure" may lose a bit of its meaning. After all, a private theme park room would certainly give Luisa plenty of reprieve from her everyday pressures. Unfortunately, while that's great for Luisa, it wouldn't benefit the music.

Of course, there is a way to give Luisa her theme park room without taking away from "Surface Pressure." If Luisa had never used her secret room, Encanto's hit song would still make sense. After all, Luisa is desperate for relaxation that'll never come in "Surface Pressure." If there were a theme park in her room, but she could never use it, "Surface Pressure" would become even more devastating for the character. If anyone deserves a theme park, it's Luisa. But Encanto wouldn't be the right place for it.
