Today, June 5, the Love Island UK season 12 cast was announced. Plenty of interesting people are in the mix, including Ben, who drives a taxi, Tommy, who does landscaping, and Meg, who works as a payroll specialist. Also in the cast is stewardess Helena, marketing maven Shakira, and musical theater actress Megan. Other fledgling reality stars who will appear in the installment are Alima, who manages clients' wealth portfolios, and Kyle, who is a "water operative."

There are more stars in the mix, including Blu, who's a construction project manager, and personal trainer Dejon. Also cast in the series is Harry, who trades gold when he's not playing soccer semi-professionally. As well, there's a motivational speaker named Sophie in the mix.

With all these fascinating cast onscreen, the action should be riveting. On Love Island, there are lighthearted moments, but occasionally, the scenes get really real. Hearts get broken. In other instances, relationships endure offscreen, at least, for a while.
