A new poster for The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power season 2 reveals Sauron's seven Dwarven Rings, teasing what to expect in the next chapter of the fantasy saga. The Rings of Power season 1 ended with Halbrand revealing himself to be Sauron, just after helping Celebrimbor forge the three Elven Rings. However, with even more of the titular objects of power expected to appear later, it appears the Dark Lord's influence over the Elves is far from over.

Now, The Rings of Power has released a new poster for season 2 of the fantasy epic, revealing a closer look at Sauron's seven Dwarven Rings ahead of their series debut.

In the poster, the glowing rings can be seen standing upright, all while a cautious King Durin III hovers his hands over them. The poster confirms the existence of more Rings this season, hinting at how much power the Dark Lord is about to gain. Check out the full poster below:

Sauron's Plans Are Stretching Across Middle-earth

This new poster for The Rings of Power season 2 highlights the creation of all seven Dwarven Rings within the time frame of the newest season. In J.R.R. Tolkien’s writing, the Rings given to all the races of Middle-earth facilitated Sauron’s growth in power, as he was able to control them all using the One Ring. This led to a multitude of conflicts with the Dark Lord across the Second Age, something that’s already been teased with the confirmation of a multi-episode battle coming in season 2.

With the forging of new Rings in the episodes, it seems like the Dwarves are going to be looped even stronger into the main storyline involving Sauron’s rise to power. While Durin IV helping Elrond learn more about mithril was a key part of season 1, it didn’t directly tie into the Dark Lord trying to bring the Dwarves under his influence. Now, though, it appears this will be happening in the forthcoming episodes, with King Durin seemingly being the one to fall for his tricks.

While many characters in The Rings of Power are destined to fall for Sauron's promises involving the titular objects, it's bound to cause major conflict as realization settles in regarding his true plans. How he'll be able to trick the Elves again now that Galadriel knows his secret remains to be seen, but his Annatar disguise might be enough to fool even her. With the Dwarves about to be in possession of the powerful objects, it seems season 2 is going to be upping the stakes tremendously compared to last time.
